Hocus Pocus

Even though Monday was officially the first day of fall, it still feels like summer here in Orange County. I’m not exactly mad about it; summer is my favorite season, but there is something about the temperatures dropping and the crisp feeling in the air that makes you embrace the new season.

So here I am, slowly welcoming fall by incorporating pieces into my wardrobe that are still lightweight to accommodate the heat, but scream autumnal vibes. This particular look David and I call “Hocus Pocus,” as it gives off a witchy vibe. This airy dress is ideal for running amuck during the September/October heatwave, and the burnt orange color evokes the feelings of warmth and comfort- something I think we all associate with fall. To top it all off (no pun intended), I added my new favorite hat, which is quickly becoming a staple in my repertoire.

I love the effortless style of throwing on a dress and hat, and since I avoid wearing jeans at all costs, I will be rocking a variation of this look for the next few months. I don’t mind, though, because it’s the perfect outfit for transitioning into fall in Southern California.

xo,
Ashley
