1 out of 4

A month ago today, we received unimaginable news: I was having a miscarriage. My first appointment was supposed to be filled with pure joy and excitement for the future, but instead it was nothing but crushing devastation and heartache. We quickly went from imagining our growing family to mourning a loss. A loss that I am still processing and have yet to find the words to share more openly about.

If there is anything I can take out of this awful experience, it is to bring awareness that 1 out of 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage. On top of the pain and grief felt (along with many other emotions), it can be a very isolating and lonely time. I want to share my story so that women (and men) never have to feel alone and to help remove the stigma surrounding pregnancy loss. It is something that is unbelievably tragic but is more common than we realize.

If you have suffered a loss, I see you, I am here for you. You are not alone.

  1. I’m so sorry for your loss. I do know how that feels. You are not alone. Brave and unselfish of you to share. My thoughts are with you.🌸
