A Fire Relit

If you’ve known me long enough, you’d remember this girl with the bangs (circa 2012) and my first blog, Love, Ashley. I started blogging back in 2011 and stepped away from it in 2014. For years I dreamed about blogging again, but never pulled the trigger, that is until now. Because if not now, then when?!

It’s honestly been quite the process to start back up because I didn’t want to do it haphazardly. I wanted to feel connected to what I was creating, from the name of the blog to the energy/vibe of it. I also didn’t want to just post outfit photos; I really wanted to write engaging content. Basically, I wanted to create a blog that I personally loved! Not only did I have to conceptually develop my blog, I had to learn how to build it! After months in the making, I finally hit “Publish,” and La Vie d’Ashley was born.

Planning and designing a blog wasn’t easy, but I did it! I can’t put into words the amount of pride I feel for pushing myself to create this space! I wish I had actually done it sooner. If you’ve ever wanted to do something, but were hesitant, just do it! You’ve got nothing to lose, but so much to gain.

In a sense, this blog has relit a fire within me. It’s given me a new objective, and I feel invigorated and motivated to have something personal to work on again. It’s definitely going to be a learning process along the way, but I’m determined! I know that if I keep it up, La Vie d’Ashley will grow, and so will I. This little blog is something that I know will make me so happy doing, and I can’t wait for you to see what I have in store for it.
